Tax cases involve sensitive information. Here's an overview of how we help keep it safe.
Data in transit and at rest
Information you submit through the intake process is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest in the systems that store it. Access is limited to the systems and personnel needed to operate 247.tax. We do not claim a third-party certification that we do not hold.
Access controls
Access to case files and IRS transcripts is limited to the case advisors and licensed staff working on your matter. We use role-based access controls and audit access to sensitive records.
Document handling
Your uploaded IRS transcripts and financial answers are stored to create and deliver your plan. They are retained only as long as necessary to provide the service and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. To request deletion, email supportteam@247.tax; we will explain any information that must be retained by law.
